Online meetings with 16 NGOs from Gagauzia

The state of emergency in the country made adjustments to the activity of the working group of the project “Empowerment of Citizens of the ATU Gagauzia Region”. In this regard, from April 16 to May 5, online check-up visits were conducted with public organizations from Gagauzia, which passed the stages of technical and financial evaluation of project proposals.

According to the results of the Technical and financial evaluation of the project proposals, 16 NGOs from Gagauzia were sent to the stage of test visits. During this period, 16 online meetings were held with the beneficiaries of the competition.

The aims of those meetings:

- acquaintance with representatives of the applicant NGO, their role / responsibilities;

- discussion of some ideas for improving the project proposal;

- determination of the degree of impact of the project on the beneficiaries / citizens;

- clarification of costs and budget adjustments.

 The final decision on the award of sub-grants will be made in the near future, namely after the completion of the test visits, as well as after the final response of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the delegation of the European Union.

Upon completion of the evaluation and selection process, a list of projects approved for funding will be published on the website www.eu4civilsociety.md, as well as on the website www.proeuropa.md.

The Local Grants Program is being implemented on the basis of the Unified European Union (EU) Support System provided to the Republic of Moldova (2017-2020) as part of the European Neighborhood Instrument through the EU-GIZ project “Empowering Citizens in the Republic of Moldova” (2019-2021) and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
